Dr. Christine Kilcline, MD Christine Kilcline is a native of Northern California. She spent much of her childhood vacations searching for seashells on the beaches of Morro Bay and is elated to now call the Central Coast her home.
Dr. Kilcline graduated from UC Davis, recognized as an Outstanding Senior by her peers and faculty followed by cum laude honors from Albany Medical College. She completed her post-graduate training at UCSF with residencies in Pediatrics and U.S. News and World Reports top rated UCSF Dermatology. Dr. Kilcline has completed clinical research trials for Psoriasis and Eczema as well as additional specialized training as a Pediatric Dermatologist at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. She devoted time as a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member for the Department of Dermatology at UC Davis Medical Center and awarded Best Volunteer Clinical Faculty, and served as Treasurer and Vice President of the Northern California Dermatology Society. Now on the Central Coast for over 5 years, her prior experience combined includes 14 years in private practice.
Dr. Kilcline practices the comprehensive scope of dermatologic care. She specializes in complex medical and pediatric dermatology. As a board certified pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Kilcline understands the impact skin disease can have on the physical and social development for the child and the family unit. Dr. Kilcline is an accomplished dermatologic surgeon and brings an artistic, natural eye to her aesthetic practice as well. Her training in both San Francisco and San Diego allowed her to develop as a skilled dermatologic and laser surgeon for both children and adults. Tambien, Dra. Kilcline se habla espanol.
When Dr. Kilcline is not at work, she can be found cheering on her kids soccer teams, enjoying her husband's cooking, practicing yoga, learning to paddle board, cheering for the San Francisco Giants...and still searching for seashells.
Dr. Lisa Aquino, MD Lisa Lindvall Aquino was born and raised in San Luis Obispo. She returned to the Central Coast in 2013 and is excited to be joining Coastal Family Dermatology. Dr. Aquino graduated with honors from Vassar College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to medical school she earned a master’s degree in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health and worked in public health for several years. Dr. Aquino attended medical school at UC Irvine and completed her dermatology residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Aquino cares for all diseases of the skin, hair and nails with a particular interest in medical dermatology. Skin cancer screenings and surgical treatment of skin cancer comprise a significant portion of her practice. At this time she does not practice cosmetic dermatology.
Outside of work, Dr. Aquino enjoys spending her time with her two children and physician husband. She also enjoys tennis, hiking and spending time with friends.
Tressa Esty, PA-C Tressa Esty was born in Minnesota and spent over 10 years visiting the central coast before relocating here in 2012. She is so happy to be a resident of the Central Coast. Tressa Esty, MPAS, PA-C obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She received her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA and received her certification in 2006. She was also accepted into Albert Schweitzer fellowship for Humanitarian work in medicine. Since certification, she practiced in Minnesota initially in Plastic Surgery for about a year and then specializing in General, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology since 2006. Her passion remains in all aspects of Dermatology. Her practice approach is to treat patients as she would treat her family. She also is a clinical professor for PA students from Chatham University and Rocky Mountain University.
When she is not practicing, she enjoys camping, hiking, walking the beach, along with cultural cooking. She loves spending time with her husband and five daughters.
Natalie Matenaer, PA-C Natalie Matenaer was born in Minnesota but moved at an early age to Northern California. Natalie moved to San Luis Obispo in 2010 to attend Cal Poly and fell in love with the central coast. She graduated in 2014 with an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Microbiology. Natalie attended Concordia University Wisconsin for her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating in 2018. She couldn't resist the temptation to return to the central coast and is so fortunate to call this amazing area home once again! Natalie is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has advanced her specialized knowledge of the skin through their Diplomate Fellowship program.
Outside of work Natalie loves exploring with family and friends all the central coast has to offer, including hiking and going to the beach. She also enjoys training for half marathons.
